The Stockholm Swing All Stars sixth release ” LISTEN !!!” reeks of joy, passion, and swing!
Full of surprises and new unexpected ways of taking on the good old songs without ever losing the focus on swinging, the album features arrangements written by the band, for the band.
Some tunes are intricate, others are bluesy and catchy or stunningly beautiful – but they are all full of soul, playfulness and swing. The way the seven-piece unit transforms old tunes into something new and fresh makes for non-stop exciting listening.
The band is comprised of seven of Sweden’s top jazz musicians, each with his own solo career. For almost 20 years, since they were still promising youngsters, they have joined forces in the Stockholm Swing All Stars, digging deep in the soil of jazz and swing. These past 20 years have given the band a unique collective sound and expression.
